SUSAN KOUGUELL is an award-winning screenwriter and filmmaker. She co-wrote with Carl Capotorto The Suicide Club (Anjelica Films), wrote voiceover narrations for Murder One and Dakota (Miramax), and has written over a dozen feature film assignments for independent production companies. Kouguell worked with director Louis Malle on the documentary And the Pursuit of Happiness, and associate produced and was the script consultant on Rum & Coke and Where the Rivers Flow North. As chairperson of her motion picture consulting company Su-City Pictures East, she works with over 1,000 writers and filmmakers worldwide, as well as the major studios, including Miramax, Warner Bros., and Fine Line Features. She teaches screenwriting at Tufts University and for Screenwriters Online, and Business of Screenwriting classes at SUNY Purchase. Kouguell’s film industry seminars include the Writers Guild of America, Directors Guild of America, Screenwriters Expo, Scr(i)pt Magazine’s PitchFest, Independent Feature Project, New York Women in Film & Television, New England Women in Film/TV, Atlantic Film & Video Producers Conference in Canada, New England Screenwriters Conference, NYU, Temple University, The New School, and Emerson, Hunter, and Purchase Colleges.
